I am a huge fan of color and being able to apply it whatever medium - brayer, brush, sponge. This year, with the introduction of the Blendabilities line, coloring just got that much more exciting. Being able to create topnotch cards with a pop of color is the way to go.
That is exactly what happened this weekend. We had our Catalog Premier Party with Janine as our gracious hostess. Loved, loved the BLT, by the way. Thank you for the awesome dining experience and lovely company!
On to the cards....
The first card we made was to showcase the Blendabilities alcohol markers in Coastal Cabana. We colored the poppies using the darkest hue for depth and blending the lightest hue for the main color. To create the shadow effect on the "love" sentiment, I adhered temporarily before the background is lightly sponged in Wild Wasabi and Coastal Cabana. I then lifted the sentiment and applied more 2-way Glue and moved slightly off so that love mask in white is shown thus creating a shadow. I still love my retired French Script and stamped it on the corner and finished it off with a retired corner punch from SU! as well. The result is uh-maz-ing!

The next card we made was one of my favorite new hostess sets. It was a very simple but cute card. I used one of the new inks from the 2014-2016 In Color. Can I just say that once I used Lost Lagoon it is all I see everywhere I go these days? I just love the blue and gray combination of this color. I used the embossing folders for background and finished it off with my signature "In Threes" finishing touch, this time it is with the Candy Dots in Subtles.

Once in a while, I will make a third card just for the fun of it. And it's because the Catalog Premier, I thought this would be appropriate. Plus, I just love my Tramps. Period. And the stamp set is so appropriate given the circumstances but I will save that for another day. :P Again, the Blendabilities is featured. I also brayered the background with coordinating colors as the Blendabilities. This card was screaming rhinestones so I happily obliged!

There you have it, folks! We are in new season once again. Thanks to my Tramps for a wonderful time. Onwards and upwards until our next date! We shall stamp on!
